Renovating the Hamms building was a massive undertaking for a workplace team of one. As a former brewery, the space had a lot of structural challenges to make it function well as an office.

The guiding principals for the project were to create an office that fostered connection, collaboration and productivity.

Scrappiness was a priority for Retool so we boldly chose to furnish our largest floor (20,000 sq ft) solely with refurbished furniture to showcase our commitment to resourcefulness.

In each conference room sits a “tool box” full of brainstorming supplies, a nod to Retool’s versatile product.

The "Toolbar" (a playful reference to a feature within Retool) was a specially designed indoor-outdoor entertainment area located on the sales floor. The space was versatile, catering to indoor-outdoor presentations and happy hours. We even built a separate entrance for visitors so it could function as a venue for external events.

Retool moved-in prior to construction wrapping which required us to move teams around the space in lockstep with construction to minimize disruption.
